Navigating the Reporting Module

Reporting is available in all project and can be accessed from the Project Homepage or from anywhere within the project by clicking the 'Reports' button in the upper right corner of the secondary navigation bar.

Reports Tree (Left Navigation Pane)

The Reporting module is divided into two parts consisting of the left and right navigation panes. The information below pertains to navigating the Report Tree

  •  Run Selected Report  - After selecting a report, the 'Run' button on the top of the Reports Tree can be used to run the selected report. Reports can also be ran via double-click directly on the report.
  •  Search Report Names - A search box is provided to search the Reports Tree for specific reports that contain the search criterion. Additionally, the 'cog' button on the right provides an option to search by name or to search by name and description.
  • My Reports - The 'My Reports' folder is specific to you. No one else can view or run the reports you create or clone to My Reports.The My Reports folder is project specific. Although you may have access to multiple projects, reports created or cloned to My Reports are only available in the My Reports folder for the project in which they are created.  
  • Company Reports - The 'Company Reports' folder is specific to the users of your company. Users of other companies cannot view or run reports your create or clone to this folder. The Company Reports folder is project specific. Although your company may have users in multiple projects, reports created or cloned to Company Reports are only available in the Company Reports folder for the project in which they are created.  
  • Project Reports  - The 'Project Reports' folder is specific to the project you are logged into. All users who have access to that project can view and run reports from this folder.
  • System Reports - System reports are provided for each project by default. Note the lock icon indicating that system reports cannot be modified. They can however be cloned to other report folders. To view system reports, click the  arrow on the left of System Reports. Continue down the Reports Tree clicking the  arrow to expand the system reports grouping until you reach your desired report. Likewise, click the arrow again to collapse the expanded reports.
  • Reports Tree - Collapse/Expand - On he vertical bar between the left and right navigation panes, click the vertical ... to collapse and expand the left navigation pane.
  • Report Name + Description - When a report is selected, the report name and description will be displayed on the bottom of the left navigation pane.

Report Display (Right Navigation Pane)

The reporting display pane provides means for viewing, sorting, filtering, and exporting reports. The information below pertains to navigating the Report Display Pane.

  • Viewing - The display area is typically sufficient for viewing reports. You can however click the vertical ... to collapse and collapse the left navigation pane to make the report display larger.
    • Scroll - Use the report display vertical scroll bar on the far right to scroll through the current page
    • Paging -  Use the page buttons in the upper right corner to page next, page previous, page last, or page first. To go to a specific page, simply enter the page number and press enter.
    • Find -  Use the Find option in the upper right corner to locate text within the report. The current selected text will be heavy shaded. Use the UP/DOWN arrows  to navigate through the report on the discovered text.
  • Filtering and Sorting - Click the vertical ... on the far left of the right navigation pane (Report display). User the Filter and Sorts options to filter and/or sort the report. For more information on filtering and sorting, please see Help section Filtering and Sorting Reports
  • Top Navigation Bar - Running reports will display as a tab above the report display pane. A tab will be present for each report that you run. To navigate between reports simply click the tab for that report. To close a report, click the X button on that report tab. Alternately, use the right-click method to close the tab or close all other tabs.
  • Export - Click the 'Export' button to export the report to Excel, PDF, CSV, or RTF. For more information on exporting reports, please see Help section Running and Viewing Reports
