Creating a Drawing
To create a drawing:
- Once logged into the project, from the project secondary navigation bar, select PLANS & SPECS - DRAWINGS and select 'Add New'.
- Note that forms displayed on the project title bar are configurable. If you do not see PLANS & SPECS - DRAWINGS, select 'More...' - 'Configure My Menu'. Add the PLANS & SPECS form to your secondary navigation menu. See the screen shot below. DRAWINGS are part of the PLANS & SPECS menu and should be displayed once the PLANS & SPECS form has been added to your secondary navigation menu.
- Enter the Subject. Subject is a required field and must be completed in order to save the drawing.
- Enter the Drawing #. Drawing # is a required field and must be completed in order to save the drawing.
- Revision # - The first drawing starts at revision 0. This number can be changed.
- Revision Date - Enter the date of the drawing revision
- Discipline - Select the appropriate discipline from drop down. This field can be left blank.
- Architectural
- Civil
- Engineer
- Interior Design
- Landscape
- Mechanical
- Plumbing
- Structural
- Site
- Other
- Enter the Design Company and Design Contact.
- Select the Paper Size from the drop down
- Enter the Drawing Scale
- Enter any General Note pertinent to the drawing
- Save the SpecificationDrawing
Creating a
SpecificationDrawing Revision
From an existing SpecificationDrawing, click the 'Create Revision' button. The Revision # will be automatically incremented based on the last revision number for that specificationdrawing. The Revision # is editable and can be changed. Using the 'Create Revision' button will create the drawing revision with the same drawing information from which the revision was created. From here, edit the drawing revisions as necessary and save the new revision.
Editing a
SpecificationDrawing
To edit a specificationdrawing, click the 'Edit' button from either the Specification the Drawing form or from the Specification the Drawing log view. Edit as desired and click 'Save' to save changes.
Viewing a
SpecificationDrawing
Specifications can Drawings can either be viewed in form view or the log view. To view specifications in view drawings in log view, ensure that you have configured your secondary navigation menu to display the PLANS & SPECS form. See the screen shot below. Clicking 'PLANS & SPECS' on the secondary navigation menu will display a dropdown selection where SPECIFICATIONS is where DRAWINGS is displayed as an option. To view the specification the drawing in form view, simply click the Subject link for the desired specificationdrawing.
Linking
a Specificationa Drawing to
a Specificationa Drawing Package
Specifications can Drawings can be bundled into a Specification a Drawing Package for review as a package. To link a Specification a Drawing to a Specification PackageDrawing Package, select 'SPECIFICATION DRAWING PACKAGES' from the 'PLANS & SPECS' form on the secondary navigation menu. Click the 'Add New' button to create a Specification a Drawing Package. Under the Specifications the Drawings collection, click the 'Add SpecificationsDrawings' button. Selection one or more specifications more drawings to be linked to the Specification the Drawing Package and click the 'Add Revisions' button. Once a Specification a Drawing has been linked to a Specification a Drawing Package, the Package Links panel on the Specification the Drawing will contain a Subject link. Clicking on the Subject link will take you directly to the Specification the Drawing Package to which the Specification the Drawing is linked. |
Sharing a
SpecificationDrawing
To share a Specification a Drawing form to other project users, click the 'Share' button on the Specification the Drawing in form view. Use the Share modal to share the Specification the Drawing to other project team users. For more information on sharing, please see the Help section Sharing Information

When a Specification a Drawing is linked to a Specification a Drawing Package, the Sharing rights on the Specification the Drawing Package will automatically be applied to the linked SpecificationDrawing. Share changes on the Specification the Drawing Package will also be updated on the linked SpecificationDrawing. |
