Creating a Field Report

To create a Field Report:

  1. Once logged into the project, from the project secondary navigation bar, select FIELD REPORTS from the secondary navigation bar and select 'Add New'.
    1. Note that forms displayed on the secondary navigation bar are configurable. If you do not see FIELD REPORTS, select 'More...' - 'Configure My Menu'. Add the FIELD REPORTS form to your secondary navigation bar. See the screen shot below. 
  2. Enter the Subject. Subject is a required field and must be completed in order to save the Field Report.
  3. Date - Enter the date of the Field Report
  4. Work Description - Enter the details of the Field Report
  5. Save the Field Report

Configuring the Field Reports Form

If the Field Reports form does not contain the data fields needed, the form can be customized to add fields. To do this, select the '... Customize Form Fields' option form the Field Reports log view. In the Form Field area, click the 'Add New Field' button. Complete the 'Add Custom Field' wizard to add your custom fields to the Field Reports form. Editing a Field Report

To edit a drawing, click the 'Edit' button from either the Drawing form or from the Drawing log view. Edit as desired and click 'Save' to save changes.

Viewing a Field Report

Drawings can either be viewed in form view or the log view. To view drawings in log view, ensure that you have configured your secondary navigation menu to display the PLANS & SPECS form. See the screen shot below. Clicking  'PLANS & SPECS' on the secondary navigation menu will display a dropdown selection where DRAWINGS is displayed as an option. To view the drawing in form view, simply click the Subject link for the desired drawing.

Revision History

Revision History can be easily viewed on the Drawing form. On the Revision History panel, view the list of more recent revisions of the drawing. The Revision History panel provides a 'View' button for each revision of the drawing. Easily jump to the desired revision by clicking the 'View' button for that revision.

Linking a Drawing to a Drawing Package

Drawings can be bundled into a Drawing Package for review as a package. To link a Drawing to a Drawing Package, select 'DRAWING PACKAGES' from the 'PLANS & SPECS' form on the secondary navigation menu. Click the 'Add New' button to create a Drawing Package. Under the Drawings collection, click the 'Add Drawings' button. Selection one or more drawings to be linked to the Drawing Package and click the 'Add Revisions' button. Package Links Panel

Once a Drawing has been linked to a Drawing Package, the Package Links panel on the Drawing will contain a Subject link. Clicking the Subject link will take you directly to the Drawing Package to which the Drawing is linked.

Sharing a Field Report

To share a Drawing form to other project users, click the  'Share' button on the Drawing in form view. Use the Share modal to share the Drawing to other project team users. For more information on sharing, please see the Help section Sharing Information 

Sharing Notation:

When a Drawing is linked to a Drawing Package, the Sharing rights on the Drawing Package will automatically be applied to the linked Drawing. Share changes on the Drawing Package will also be updated on the linked Drawing.

Deleting Field Reports

To delete the most recent revision of a drawing, select '...Delete' on the Drawings form. At the 'Delete?' courtesy prompt click 'No Never mind' to cancel the process or click 'Yes' to proceed. Drawings can only be deleted in the following scenarios.

  1. The Drawing is the most recent revision
  2. The Drawing is not linked to a Drawing Package
  3. The Drawing has not been shared
